Community Guidelines
Julio is your training partner — the people here are the rest of the crew. This is where the first pull-up shows up, the meal prep that went wrong, the day nothing worked. That only holds if everyone here feels safe. That's what these rules are for, and we mean them — for messages and profile alike.
Scope
These guidelines apply in the Julio app by Flexen UG (haftungsbeschränkt) to everything others can see: direct messages, your display name, your username, your bio and your profile photo. Before you send your first direct message or make your profile visible beyond “friends only”, you agree to them once in the app. Our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy also apply.
1. Respect
No bullying, no harassment, no pushing after someone says no. No hate over origin, skin colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability. No body shaming — not for being thin, not for being fat, not for the body someone is working on. Feedback on a training plan: welcome. Verdicts on bodies: no.
2. Food, weight, body image
The one that matters most to us. Not allowed:
- Content that glorifies, romanticises or recommends starving, extreme calorie restriction or eating disorders — including pro-ana, pro-mia, “thinspiration” and “bonespiration”.
- Someone else's body as the target: “this is how you're supposed to look”.
- Contests over numbers: who eats least, who loses weight fastest, who holds the lowest weight.
Sharing your own numbers is fine. Turning them into the standard for everyone else isn't.
3. Self-harm and suicide
Don't glorify or play down self-harm or suicide, and don't post methods or instructions — not as a joke, not as an aesthetic. If you're in a bad place, you're not in the wrong room. Say so — and talk to someone who can actually help. All of these lines are free, anonymous and open around the clock:
- Germany: TelefonSeelsorge, 0800 1110111 or 116 123
- Austria: Rat auf Draht, 147 (no area code) — for teenagers and young adults
- Switzerland: Pro Juventute, 147 — for teenagers and young adults, also as a chat via 147.ch. For adults: Die Dargebotene Hand, 143 (also available in English)
Eating too little, too much, or thinking about food all the time? The eating disorder helpline run by the BIÖG (formerly BZgA) advises you free of charge on 0221 892031 — Mon–Thu 10:00–22:00, Fri–Sun 10:00–18:00 (local Cologne rate).
4. Doping and substances
No instructions, no promotion, no selling — anabolic steroids, SARMs, peptides, illegal substances. Same goes for prescription meds you weren't prescribed: weight-loss injections, diuretics, appetite suppressants. Dosages, sources and cycle plans don't belong here.
5. No medical claims
The community isn't a clinic. Don't claim a workout, a food or a supplement cures, treats or prevents an illness. Don't diagnose people, don't prescribe therapies, and never tell anyone to stop taking their medication. What worked for you is yours to tell — as your experience, not as a prescription for someone else.
6. Nudity and sexual content
Training and progress photos are fine. Pornographic or sexualised content isn't. Sexualised depictions of minors mean an immediate permanent ban and a report to the relevant authorities — no exceptions, no warning.
7. Protecting minors
Julio is an app for adults 18 and over — but protecting minors doesn't stop at our age limit. Don't post or share anything that sexualises a minor; that content means a permanent ban without warning and a report to the relevant authorities. And don't use the app to groom minors or lure them elsewhere — no messaging them, no asking for photos, no private contact details. Anyone who does is permanently gone.
8. Privacy and identity
Don't post other people's photos, chats, names, addresses or health data without their consent. Don't pretend to be someone else. We remove fake profiles.
9. Spam and scams
No ads, no affiliate spam, no chain letters, no fake supplements, no made-up giveaways, no coaching hustles.
10. Violence and illegal activity
No glorifying violence, no threats, no calls for violence. No instructions for crimes and no trading in illegal goods.
When something goes wrong
Report: long-press a message, tap “Report” under a Julio answer, or use the ⋮ menu on a profile. We review every report — and the person you report never finds out who reported them.
Block: from the same ⋮ menu on the profile. Blocked people can't reach you.
Consequences: depending on severity, we remove the content, warn you, or suspend you — temporarily or permanently. For sexualised content involving minors and for credible threats of violence we skip the ladder: immediate ban, plus the authorities.
In the app, by tapping “Accept” you confirm that you've read these guidelines and will follow them.
Reporting without an account and contact
You don't have an account but came across content in Julio that violates these guidelines or the law? Write to us at support@flexen.co. Please state as precisely as possible which content you mean (e.g. the username and what it says), why you think it breaks the rules or the law, and, if you like, your name and email address for a reply.
We review every report, from the app or by email, within 48 hours. In case of clear violations we block the content or the account immediately.
Version of 28 September 2026. If these guidelines change, we will ask for your agreement again in the app.
